24/7 News Network: At least 53% voter turnout reported in 10 Lok Sabha and 70 Assembly constituencies in Orissa that went to polls today. Barring a few incidents of setting the polling booths on fire and looting of the EVMs by the Naxals in Kalimela, Malkangiri, the polls were by and large peaceful. Interestingly, people rejected the polling in over 40 booths in the state. In some polling booths, malfunctioning of the EVMs delayed the polling. The relief camp in Kandhamal reported a voter turnout of 80 per cent. Nabarangpur reported the highest number of polling with 60 per cent.
